Action Tasks via Mobile App

With a few taps of your finger, you can create tasks for your team members. Learn how to include task priority levels as well as start and completion dates. Watch how forms and signatures can be incorporated into the task process. Plus see how you can stay up to date on the status of your tasks with task completion notifications.

In this video, we’re going to walk through the steps of creating a new Task for a user to complete on their phone.

The first step is to create a new Task as Chloe Bracks.

We’ll enter ‘Site Manager Approval’.

Then we’ll add a description.

And then we’ll assign ‘Matt Sloane’ to complete the task.

Now we’ll add a new ‘To Do’ for Matt to complete.

We’ll give the new To Do a Title.

Set the Start Date.

And the Completion Date.

Enter a description.

Followed by a full description, which may be instructions for the user.

We’ll set a Task Priority.

A Task Type.

Then we’ll choose a ready-made form. The ‘Site Manager Approval’ form.

And finally, we’ll assign only Matt Sloane.

We can now see the new To Do is ready for Matt Sloane to action.

Let’s now log into the app as Matt Sloane.

If Matt now views his Tasks.

We can see the new ‘Site Managers to provide approval’ Task.

Tapping on the Task reveals the Task details.

At the bottom of the screen, we can see the ‘Complete’ button.

Tapping on this button will display the Task and approval form to Matt.

Scrolling down the screen within the app, we can see the Task Details.

Who it’s assigned to.

We can read the description.

And finally, the form is displayed for Matt to complete.

As Matt, we’ll now complete the form within the app.

Finally, as a requirement of this Task Management Process, we require Matt to sign the report.

Using his finger, he can digitally sign the form on his phone or tablet.

Tapping on ‘Submit’ will complete the Task process.

Remember, tasks can present any type of form that you can build with CentricMinds.

Navigating back to the Task list, we can see that the status of the ‘Site Managers to provide approval’ task has changed to ‘complete’.

If we now log back into CentricMinds as Chloe Bracks, and navigate to Tasks that we’re managing..

We can see that the ‘Site Managers to provide approval’ Task has been completed by Matt Sloane.

If we now navigate to the Forms Panel.

And look at the Form Submissions Panel.

The first submission listed will be the completed form as signed by Matt Sloane using the CentricMinds native app.
